Monk

No, the name doesn't mean that I'm an actual monk, like at a monastery. The name also is not because I like the detective show "Monk," which I have only seen five minutes of. It's basically just a shortened version of Ratt Monk, and because someone once used Monk as a sort of "codename" for me.
Anyhow, I am a student of the Bible, though. I completed my undergrad degree in Pastoral Studies about one and a half years ago and am now finishing the third semester of my MABS (Master of Arts in Biblical Studies), with an emphasis in Biblical languages.
I'm going to be a missionary in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada. Nunavut is the newest territory in Canada, given to the Inuit indians in 1999. It used to be the eastern half of the Northwest Territories. Iqaluit (once called Frobisher Bay) is the capital of the territory. The easiest way to find it is to go north of Quebec and west of Greenland, on the southern tip of Baffin Island. I hope to start a church there some day and maybe even a Bible Institute.

Why

The name: While at college, several of my friends and I would switch the first letters in each others first and last names to see what we came up with. Mine, Ratt Monk, has stuck.

Title of Blog: It was the suggestion of one of my friends, Thad Smith.
